A couple of days ago, I wrote about a futuristic school in Texas, and today I'd like to write about AI models. In the August edition of the best-selling "Vogue" magazine, an AI model finally appeared. The flawless looking AI model was featured in an ad for the lifestyle brand Guess.
When I saw the ad, it's obvious the model didn't look real because she looked too perfect. However, I can't stop but think we'll see more AI-generated models because companies can get better images easily. They can make their ads much cheaper without paying models and photographers. AI models will take over the real models in near future.
I thought the school in Texas' case was great, but I don't like the AI models. They don't appeal anything to me. I think real supermodels are already perfect enough, and do we even need more perfect looking ones?
What do you think? Do you like seeing AI models in advertisements?

I am very anti-AI! But I have no power to stop the tide of AI-generated content. We call it "slop". That said, I've never looked at fashion photography before so those images look just fine to me.
I don't like it at all! I wonder what we are going to end up doing when AI is replacing humans in doing all of that!
I think it depends on how the models are used. I use AI models in some of my poetry videos. At the end of each video, I give credit for to the company (or companies) that created the model.
I think AI could be a great tool if used in the right way. But, unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case. As a photographer myself, it scares me deeply and I am starting to sense that I might need to find a plan B career in a not so far future ):
@schmamie Thank you for reading, correcting, and commenting. Thank you for teaching a new tern, "slop" as well.
@Double-Zee Thank you for the comment, ZZ. I think if we are good at using AI, we won't loose our jobs. However, if AI starts using us, we won't loose them. So, we definitely should be the user side.
@T-Newfields Thank you for the correction and the comment. You made me think I can use AI models to advertise my products as well! I don't like seeing AI models in advertisements, but I'd love to use them to advertise my products. How hypocrite I am, lol!
@nani- I totally agree. We certainly need to learn how to use it. I believe that even though AI takes photos, pictures by humans still look better. For some reason, we don't show interest when we look perfect things. Some imperfection adds more interest on our works.
