I've always thought I'd love to sell my hand-painted pieces, but I didn't take any action for years. I have to admit that I'm lazy and I didn't have enough confidence to sell them. However, for the past three years in a raw, a gallery in Kyoto has bought my pieces, and that given me lots of confidence. I also heard the same gallery would love to to buy more pieces from me.
A couple of days ago, I finally started using Instagram again to promote my work. I've set some goals and kept posting every single day. I also started learning about marketing. I'd love to create my own online shop as well. I also want to sell my pieces outside of Kyoto, so I'm thinking about going to Kutani in Ishikawa Prefecture. That area is well-known for pottery, and there are lots of galleries. Visiting around the galleries must be so much fun! While I'm there, it's possible to find blank porcelain as well. Without taking action, you can't get any results, so if I want to make my dreams come true, I need to make more effort. Even so, I'd love to enjoy the process!

I hope you'll reach your goals in 2026. You certainly create beautiful hand-painted pottery.
In Chinese zodiac, it is the year of the fire horse. The fire horse is full of passion and life and moves ahead swiftly. Thus, it is said to be the year to make stuff happen -- actualise your goals and do the things you've been thinking about doing for a while. Wishing you all the best! I am too feeling quite motivated to achieve my goals and just go for it.
I think you're extremely humble, which is a beautiful quality in anyone; but remember that you're pieces are beautiful too. I haven't seen one thing you've created that hasn't taken my breath away. Share it with the world! 🤩
@SEQ77 Thank you so much. Actually, it's really hard because I have to compete with a very narrow porcelain society of Kyoto and my teacher. I didn't share details because two of my Western friends ( my Texan friend and my British friend) didn't understand even I tried to explain why it's hard. I hate this society, but I try my best!
@via-chan You're so true! I hope you'll achieve your goals as well! Thank you so much for encouraging me. I believe that where there is a will, there is a way!
@CocoPop Thank you! Your comment definitely lifts me up! I believe myself and want to go wherever I want. I want to believe I'm the person who will smile at the end. Nobody can crash someone's dreams!
You're a skilled artist. It's not just your pottery—you take beautiful photos too. You clearly have an innate sense of style. It may take you a moment to find your footing online, but you'll get there.
@Simone- Your comment made me cry! Buaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!
