As if the day couldn’t get any worse, one of my teachers wanted to talk to some of my classmates and me after the assembly. Needless to say, it was a waste of time. Anyway, after we’d finished with our teacher, we left school and made our way down the hill. [Before continuing to edit the post, see the footnote.] Instead of going straight to the nearby bus stop at the bottom of the hill, we took a shortcut to the next bus stop to the east. This was our usual plan B in case we missed the bus or the nearby bus stop was overcrowded.
Although the two bus stops were only a few minutes’ walk apart, not many students usually bothered to walk from one to the other. However, as soon as the second bus stop came into sight, we couldn’t believe our eyes: there were like a gazillion people! It was obvious that we couldn’t stop there either. Three of my classmates and I decided to keep walking east to the next and third bus stop. The rest of the group thought it was madness and refused to join us. I didn’t blame them. Most of the students never ventured past the second bus stop.
Footnote
POV: I’m walking down the hill. My town is to the west, the nearest bus stop is ahead of me and Salerno is to the east. The next bus stop is to the east of the nearby stop, hence the segment "next bus stop to the east". Note that these bus stops are on the westbound line—my town is to the west. Just to be clear, Salerno and my town are actually aligned north-south.

It's beginning to look as if this might be a trek rather than a walk.
It's starting to sound more and more like our mutual friend's 3-hour treck across Japan!))) Very well written, I might add, as if it weren't evident from the (near) lack of blue.
I guess I have to agree with what Uly has written, but what Dripdrip mentioned makes sense to me too because I know you, lol. You might walk long distance. The story's getting more interesting to read! By the way, your image reminds me of Great Wall of China even though I've never visited there.
You might all be on to something 🤷♂️. Thank you all for reading and leaving positive comments!
@LindasLinguas Could you take a look at this post? Uly and I have already flagged it (=reported as spam). I think the post should be taken down. It's clearly a joke and it's not even funny. Even if it's not a joke, it should still be taken down because the author may be putting themselves in danger. https://journaly.com/post/40661
Edit: They've published another post. It's written in IPA characters. I'm trying to work out what the post says. If I find anything alarming, I'll let you know. https://journaly.com/post/40671
Edit 2: I used ChatGPT to convert it into English:
In case they changes the text, this is the one I translated:
@LindasLinguas I agree with Simo. Those posts are creepy at best and dangerous at worst. If this is truly a 12-year-old, his parents need to monitor his online activity because he's just begging to be in harm's way.
@LindasLinguas Linda, take this as constructive criticism. What if this user had written something even worse than that? What if they had shared their phone number? Despite the fact that Uly and I flagged it over 34 hours ago, this post is still up and has been for almost 48 hours. I'm sorry to say this, but Journaly is far too slow to react.
Now, it’s become clear that this user is just trolling, so the lack of a quick response isn’t a big deal in this case. However, we're still allowing someone to troll on Journaly completely undisturbed.
This whole situation has highlighted some of the flaws in Journaly. If Robin and you are too busy to notice reports about a supposed 12-year-old potentially putting themselves in danger, then I think Journaly needs more moderators.
@LindasLinguas Please!!!! This is really creepy. Please check out Simo and Uly's comments.
@LindasLinguas Yeah, and he's posting like every day. The posts get creepier and creepier.
