Since I bought special apple-pots for baking at a Poland pottery shop in Nara, I've been enjoying making baking apples. My favorite way to have them is with vanilla ice cream.
Making it is very easy. I took step-by-step photos, so I'd like to share them with you here. I've already posted the bake apple recipe before, so if you're curious, please check here.
Once the baked apples are ready, all you have to do is add some ice cream. Unfortunately, on that day when I made them, I didn't have any vanilla ice cream. Instead, I used coffee one.
I don't think cinnamon and coffee flavors go very well together, even though my husband liked it. I recommend vanilla ones.

My former japanese teacher once told me that he once saw some polish alcohol at a japanese store, but I haven't expected there to be a shop with polish pottery in Japan, haha. The baked apples look fantastic!
I LOVE stewed apples (usually put them on top of yoghurt), but have never had baked apples. It's about to be apple season here so I'll have to try it soon.
@Renby I'm a huge fan of Polish pottery! They are quite expensive but really strong. I've been collecting them.
@via-chan I've never tried stewed apples, so thank you for sharing! Adding yogurt on the top sounds delicious!
