Almost two years ago, I asked you this question. It was about sharing my posts that I had them corrected here on my personal blog and with a translation charity. As I explained in the post, writing either for my blog or the charity was pro bono.
Last year, I started my Substack and have been publishing there instead of my blog. I had almost all my Substack posts reviewed here. Subscription to my Substack is FREE. I don't gain (financial) benefit apart from speaking my mind out loud on hearing loss and other topics I'm interested in. Nevertheless, recently, I've started to question myself whether that was ethically and morally okay.
I asked three different friends from three different countries and continents with different backgrounds about it. All of them said that it was totally fine.
However, I'm still not %100 comfortable about it. I've decided I won't post the blogs that are meant to be published on Substack here. As I like writing, I think it's better to improve my writing skills from all aspects, not only grammar and language. Maybe joining online writing communities where I can get thorough feedback on my writing would be a step on that path.
I will miss writing here as often as I used to, and I will miss your comments. I will try to share the other kinds of things I write here with you. And of course, I will keep practicing writing in Spanish here.
Now, I'm asking you what you think of what I mentioned.
Could you also recommend to me some websites/forums where I can get feedback on what I write and share my questions regarding writing?
**Feel free to check my Substack and/or subscribe if you like what I write.
**If anyone is interested in being my writing partner, please drop a comment.
Hi Double-Zee I would recommend following your gut whatever decision you make. For every person saying "yes", there's always another saying "no", and mine is just another opinion to add to the pile, which rather spoils the point. : )
Anyway, I've heard of two sites that might suit you, Scribophile and CritiqueMatch. I haven't tried them myself, but who knows, maybe you'll find a writing partner who can give you a hand with your posts. Good luck!
Thanks so much for sharing your perspectives and these websites, @Coral! I'm going to check them out.
It might be nice if you add the website of substack and your posts though I guess we could just "Duck" it.. (as in Google it ..)
It's on my profile... Beyond Deafinition.

Very clever! I like it - even the title is good!
Thanks for your support! :)
