Since we had some apples, I decided to make some apple pies.
First, I sliced them into quarter rounds to made the fillings.
I placed them in an enamel pot and added brown sugar equal to 40% of the apples' weights. Then, I let them sit for a while.
Due to osmotic pressure, the pot became full of apple juice soon.
It's was time to cook and stir them for a bit. I added raisins equal to 20% of the apples' weight, some cinnamon powder, and the juice of a whole lemon.
When the mixture looked ready, I turned off the heat.
Here's a small tip: when you make pies, it's the best to use a marble board. I used frozen pie dough this time.
I rolled out the dough with a rolling pin and cut out circles using a 8-centimeter mold.
I brushed the tops with beaten egg and put them in the oven. I baked them at 180 ℃ (356 °F) for 25 minutes.
When I opened the oven, the air was filled with the sweet aroma of cinnamon and apples.
I served the pies with some vanilla ice cream.
Here you go! Enjoy!!

@CocoPop I agree. I learned having apple pies with ice cream, the combination while I was in the States from some of my American friends.
@T-Newfields Thank you! Do you enjoy apples in Sizuoka?
@Ersatzjello Thank you!! For some reason, when I smell cinnamon and apples, they always reminds me of America. I don't know why.... I missed there a lot while making them.
