Every time I log into Journaly after a few weeks of absence, I face a problem: I have too many unread posts from people I follow and I feel obligated to read them all. First of all, because they're probably interesting — that's why I followed those people in the first place. But also, because some of those people read and comment on things I publish and even provide corrections.
You know the feeling when you have a task so big, you don't even know where to start? Imagine a pile of dishes so big that it'd take a few hours to wash. You have to allocate time to do this in one go. Or you could take a few minutes to do one batch, just to put a dent in it.
The issue I have with Journaly is, I can't go through unread posts in batches. Right now, I have a notification about more than one hundred unread posts. If I click on any of them, it won't go away. I can only mark the whole hundred as read.
I intend to return to language learning after a brief hiatus, so I'd like to post something at least once a month. But it's like I can't do it unless I sort out my feed.
I feel bad just publishing it, because it's as if my posts require the attention that I’m not giving to others.

It's a beautiful reflection. 💫 In my case, it is the opposite: I read and correct many publications, but almost nobody does the same with me. But you don't have to feel guilty, because it isn't your job. 🥺💛
Opal, I’m going to correct all your posts 😉
Not if I get to them first! Haha!
Perhaps it's because I write long posts ... I need to work on that. 😁
Probably, I'm the one who has written so many posts. If it annoys you, please unfollow me. I feel sorry for that. I think you don't need to read all of them, and at least you can skip mine!
@yumiyumayume It was never my intent to imply that anyone of those I follow writes too much, so I'm sorry for making that impression. I wouldn't follow you or others if I didn't find these posts interesting.
The only thing that inconveniences me is how Journaly groups notifications and my inability to go through these posts one by one.
If it makes you feel better, know that you're not alone. I also happen to follow Yumi. So it's settled—it's all Yumi's fault! Yumi, quit writing so many posts!
Just kidding 😆! Yumi, you're the main reason I keep logging into Journaly! I love your posts!
😂
@BalaGi I'm glad to hear that you think my posts sound interesting!
@Simone- Lol, you always make me laugh! Love you, Simo!
