There is a blueberry farm in my neighborhood, and every year, my husband, our daughter and her family, and I visit there to enjoy harvesting blueberries. I bought three blueberry bushes from the garden three years ago and planted them in my yard. Even though my blueberry bushes have produced fruit, going to the farm is much more fun!
The owner of the farm once told me that it's easier to take care of the plants in pods. So, I've been following his advice and taking care of mine in pots as well. When I shared with him how I hand-pollinated my plants this year, he gave me a big compliment.
Last year, when we visited there, my grandson didn't understand what was going on. This year, he showed interest and got very excited. He led his dad to pick some.
There were berries everywhere! Not only my grandson, but we all also got excited!! I was especially impressed by the amounts of berries. They looked like grapes. Mines are still three years old and much shorter than theirs, but I'd definitely love to learn how to harvest more in the future.
Every time we picked some, we immediately ate them. They tasted fresh, juicy and sweet.
I came across a little frog.
It was 9:30 in the morning, but the temperature had reached already 36℃ (96.8 °F). So, we ordered something cold to cool us down.
My daughter and I shared a shaved ice. Both the drinks and the ice were made with blueberries, and both were delicious.
I took the package of blueberries in the picture below home and made a blueberry cake. I'll write about that sometime soon.

I love reading your passage! I also went to a blueberry farm this year and picked some delicious blueberries. It was enjoyable and fun!
Nice! I am struggling to get my blueberry plants in Shizuoka. Many insect pests eat the leaves.
@Athlee Thank you for reading and commenting. Yes, it was! Are you going back there next year too?
@T-Newfields Thank you for the correction. If you have a farm in Shizuoka, ask the owner how they manage the bags. They'll give you some good advises.
@yumiyumayume Yes, I hope so^.^
@Athlee I'm looking forward to reading your article about it!
