Today, I'd love to share my favorite Italian dessert, Affogato, with you. I learned it from my Italian painting teacher. She used to make excellent Affogato. If you like coffee and ice cream, you'll love this dessert. The bitterness of the espresso and the sweetness from the ice cream make a perfect match. Since it's getting more humid and hotter in Japan, I made it for the first time in a year.

It's quite simple to make at home. Let me explain how to make Affogato with some pictures below.

Ingredients:

vanilla ice cream, espresso

Instruction:

Scoop some ice cream into a cup.

Prepare espresso. I made it with an espresso machine because I love it, but it doesn't matter how you make.

Pour the hot espresso over the ice cream. That's it! This dessert is too simple, so I recommend using good quality ice cream and espresso. Coffee is not only a drink, but we also need to enjoy the aroma as well.
