A couple of weeks ago, I read a very inspiring article online, and I'd love to share it with you today.
It was about 81-year-old man, who lives in Fukuoka, Kyusyu. He used to be a marathon runner, but he had a heart attack six years ago and had to give up running. Instead, he started walking. At first, he could only manage 100 meters a day, but he never gave up. He kept going. One day he thought, " I'd love to walk to Osaka to see the Expo". So, he left his house on April 7th and headed to Osaka.
He walked nearly 20 kilometers a day for 8 to 9 hours. It took him a month to reach his goal, but he finished walking 600 km.
When I read his story, I was deeply inspired. He was responding in an interview that he wanted to do something nobody had tried. He believed that if we want to success, we shouldn't give up on what we truly want to do. He also said he doesn't like regretting without challenging. I watched a video of him walking even on a chilly, rainy day as well.
I think he shows us that age doesn't matter. If we have goals and truly want to achieve them, we shouldn't give up just because of how old we are. I definitely felt encouraged by his story. I'd love to keep going what I'm doing to make my own dreams come true and achieve my goals!

Very inspiring story!
Yes, it was!
Haha, I cannot imagine thinking one day "let's walk to Osaka!" I love that he didn't allow his heart problems make him sit at home and become depressed.
I love people who have positive thoughts. I'm glad he ended up being like that too.
What an interesting story! It reminds me a little of that segment in the movie Forrest Gump where he runs across America.
@Ersatzjello I remember the scene! People mistook he was Jesus and were chasing him!
