A couple of days ago, my husband invited my parents, our daughter and her family to our favorite French restaurant to celebrate my birthday.

I was born in April, so it had almost passed three weeks since the day itself. Even so, I was still very grateful. We occasionally gather at this restaurant to celebrate our family member's birthday.

Ever since I gave birth to my daughter, I've started calling my mom on my birthday to thank her for bringing me into the world. It's been my tradition to celebrate my own birthday. My daughter's started following my tradition since she gave birth to her son as well. I'm really happy that she understands the real deeper meaning of birthdays.

Since my mom had been hospitalized for three months, it was her first time to visit the restaurant in half a year. I'm so glad that both my parents are still healthy and could join us. They seemed to enjoy having dinner with us too. When I saw they were eating a lot, it made me feel very happy.

I’m always grateful to my husband for everything he does for me each year. Having a family and spending a fun time together is definitely the best birthday gift of all!
