I believe everyone has heard about the new Chinese AI, DeepSeek. I have written some prompts to it, and it seems alright. However, I haven't tried it out for coding or writing yet, because I was really busy last month but I think I'm going to use it for my next topic to check my writing.
Have you guys tried it out yet? What's your experience been so far? How did the Deep Thinking feature improve your writing?
Also, I see that Grammarly had some updates as well. The quality of Grammarly has dropped since they added the AI feature, but going to try it out regardless.

I checked the grammar of this post with DeepSeek
Result:

Have any of you tried it yet?
Also, I see Grammarly has had some updates as well. Its quality has gradually declined since they added the AI feature, but I’m going to try it out regardless."

Also tried the updated Grammarly out.

I've never heard of deepseek, but I love the edits — especially the fact that it suggests contractions (which grammarly seems to overlook). As a result of that and other corrections, it's waaaaaay more natural than the grammarly version.
It's a Chinese open-source, free AI platform. Kind of busted all the hype and commercial bubble AI firms were building up in the US since last year
Thank you! I'll check it out))
@eugen_blick ...I mean, they blatantly lied about the 6 million dollars. I don't know what's funnier: the Chinese trying to sell the "small firm" bullshit, or the American stock market falling for it and losing billions of dollars in a blink of an eye. The Chinese certainly had a good laugh.
