I've been taking care of my grandson for two to three hours a day from Monday to Friday, but today I had to babysit him for about twelve hours. He caught the flu and has been absent from his nursing school for a week. Since both his parents were busy with work, I couldn't say no.
My one-year-old grandson is becoming even more adorable because he's finally started speaking some real words! He loves mimicking our actions, which always brings big smiles to our faces. Today, we pretended to be samurai and had a sword fight. That's his current favorite game. He also loves organizing things. Since I'm not good at tidying up, he definitely didn’t get that from me! He enjoyed pulling open drawers, taking items out and putting them back in.
While he was taking a nap, I baked some scorns for him because he loves my homemade sweets.
I used whole wheat flour because the flour contains more diet fibers, proteins, vitamins and iron.
He really enjoyed the scorns with my homemade jam.
After that he became even more energetic because he had recharged energy (food and sleep), so I had to catch up with him and play more. I was so happy to see him feeling better and full of energy. He ate two slices of apple, two slices of pear and dinner.
After he got home, I cleaned up the mess he'd made. I couldn't find my lip balm, but when I pulled open a drawer, there it was. He must have put it there!

Thank you!!
He’s adorable.
He's beautiful and adorable, Yumi. Can you explain what's on his forehead? I understand it's something against the flu.
@SEQ77 Thank you!
@druida The patch on his forehead is a cooling gel sheet. It's a product that provides localized cooling to the area where it is applied. It works by absorbing heat as the moisture-rich gel gradually evaporates. In general, the cooling effect lasts for about eight hours. It is not a medical product and does not lower overall body temperature. However, applying it can provide a sense of comfort and relief. It's popular among kids.
I'm glad your grandson felt better. The scones look nice. In the UK we argue about two to pronounce that word: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Px48UPEnybA
Thank you for the kind words, @t4up3. Thank you for sharing the video too. Since I didn't know that there are two different ways to pronounce scones, I watched the video. I learned the No.2 from it. It's very interesting!
