In a year of losses, I never imagined facing goodbyes three times within the same months. I had to bid farewell to a bird craving freedom and a tree returning to the earth. One found solace in the skies, chasing stars, while the other embraced the earth once more. Neither will say hello again, nor return to the home they knew. Yet, they reside within me, their rainbow of memories and presence. And I carry them all.
