The Nightmarish Safari

At the edge of the forest, a group of five people gathered, including our protagonists. Boris was busily taking pictures of everything around him. Meanwhile, Natasha was looking out for insects, reptiles and wild animals. She truly believed that their only purpose in life was to scare her. And that's why Boris never missed an opportunity to make fun of her. So at every slightest sound, he would pretend to be scared and ask her:

“What the hell was that?!” which made Natasha jump up or flinch.

“Boris!!! There’s definitely something behind the trees. I know it! I’m afraid it might be a tiger or a bear! Aaaaaaaa!”

She had looked over at Boris and, to her horror, saw a giant spider dangling right by his head and screamed. Being a skilled photographer, Boris turned around in an instant, pointed his camera at the spider and clicked three times.

Meanwhile, the group was working its way through the dense forest. The guide drew everyone’s attention upwards, where large, black flying foxes were hanging in the trees. A bit earlier, Natasha had noticed a few of them flying over the trees, but her vision wasn’t good enough to make out whether those black dots were eagles or some other flying animals. The guide explained it was the biggest kind of bat. Natasha’s blood ran cold – she had always been afraid of bats, and those monsters were just too much!

“It’s not that bad, darling,” whispered Boris noticing her face expression. “They're there, and we're here.”

The group forged ahead, and Natasha stepped aside to tie her shoe. All of a sudden, there was a deafening crack. When Boris turned around, he saw his wife sitting on the ground, her face white as a sheet. Lightning had struck a huge tree next to Natasha, and twenty flying foxes fell dead and lay around her. Naturally, Natasha almost died of horror. And of course, Boris shot this blood chilling scene.

“Thank God you had that flashlight!”
