The Nightmarish Safari – 1

The Nightmarish Safari

There was this couple, Boris and Natasha, traveling across India. And after 3 days spent in New Delhi, Natasha felt sickened by this rumbling, dirty and smelly city. She was like, “I’m done! I’m not going to spend one more day with these nasty flies and beggars."

So they decided to haul ass out of Dodge and find a nicer place. Boris and Natasha hired a driver and asked him to take them south.

During the first hour, they kept silent. And that was for a good reason. At one point, Boris figured it’d be a good idea to ask Natasha what was going on. “Is everything ok?” he asked very gently breaking the silence. Now, he knew good and well that Natasha would clam up when she was angry, and it’s better not to touch her at moments like this. At any rate, Natasha didn’t say anything to him. Instead, she continued reading her travel guide for India.

Finally, a few minutes later, she smiled and said, “You know, honey, I think a safari through the rainforest is just what we need.”

“That’s a badass idea!” exclaimed Boris.

With that, Natasha leaned over and asked the driver to take them to a place called Karnataka.

On the way to Karnataka, Natasha read that there was a bunch of pretty dangerous animals living around the place where they were going. Lions, leopards and tigers were the last thing she wanted to have a run-in with. We picked the wrong place! – it hit her.

Shortly thereafter, they saw a sign that read “Welcome to Bandipur National Park”. And next to that sign was a picture of a roaring tiger – Natasha’s absolute nightmare. That picture made her shudder. But since they’d already scheduled their safari, there was no turning back – the next day they were going to hit the trail. Natasha and Boris were in for a really dangerous adventure.

To be continued...
