Hungarian
Sziasztok! A nevem Daniel. :)

Szia Daniel! I only know a little Hungarian, but I understood some of what you wrote. I think you're doing extremely well if you only started studying in January! Do you have any resources to recommend for learning Hungarian? I was using HungarianPod101.com, but it was going too slowly, so just yesterday I switched to LingQ and that seems to be much better. Köszönöm!
Üdvözöljük Journalyban! Tanultám magyar nyelv 4 hónapok, magyarországban. But I don't remember very much of it lol. But glad to see other people are learning this awesome language!
@nomadicvegan: Szia Wendy! Thank you very much for the compliment, I try to keep doing a bit every day and it’s been really enjoyable. For the last three months I’ve been working through Anki decks in order to build up my vocabulary and writing short sentences about myself. For example, the deck entitled “Hungarian Core 100 - Basic Words” was very helpful at the beginning. For verbs I’ve found the verb conjugation website “cooljugator” useful. Really cool that you're learning too. I’ve only the last few weeks begun looking for other content such as HungarianPod and so can’t offer much help there. I must try out LingQ if it's going well for you!!:)
@TG_KROENING174: Köszönöm Tom! I’m sure you’d be amazed how fast you’d pick it back up!! It’s such a cool language and I’d love to do something similar and study the language in Hungary itself sometime:)
Hello Daniel, I think you're doing quite well, you've only started learning, and I think you have progressed quite a lot. I hope you will have your motivation throughout your journey to learn the Hungarian language. If I can give you any help, let me know. 😊Fighting!
@CherryBlossom: Thanks so much for the corrections, I really appreciate it! I'll keep doing a bit every day and over a long time hopefully I can keep improving. I see that it says you are learning English and so if you ever need help with that you can also let me know (even though your English is clearly very good!)
@DanielGallagher Wow, I can't imagine learning a language with just Anki and a verb conjugator. Now I admire your progress even more! But I guess we each have our own methods that work for us. I've just started with the Mini Stories in LingQ, and I really like it because there's lots of repetition, which is what I need in the beginning. There are 60 of those mini stories, which are available in all languages supported on LingQ. Hungarian is still in beta, though, so I'm not sure how much other content is there. You can get 100 free LingQs if you sign up with this link (it's my husband's referral link as I'm sharing his account right now): https://www.lingq.com/?referral=jungleboy
Kedves Daniel!
Unfortunately I’m not good enough to reply in Hungarian to your point about writing “minél” with “n”. It was actually @CherryBlossom who had corrected that line and I had edited it, so unfortunately I didn’t get that correct! But hopefully that will come naturally to me one day!:)
@nomadicvegan: Yeah for sure, these methods usually work better for me in the beginning because I know exactly how long it will take and can slot it into the same time every day. Thank you for the link, it’s exciting that Hungarian is in beta as we can see it develop!:)
