Every book, every volumen you see here, has a soul.
Well I just started "The shadow of the wind" one week ago, its the firts time reading a novel in english so I decide to begin with any expectation, but when discover what the city where Daniel Sempere lives is Barcelona I succumbed!. I lived in Barcelona a whole year and its incredible the way the author discribe the atmosphera, he makes me feel than I walk for this beautiful streets again.
I upload the photo of the cathedral "Santa Maria del Mar" what is mentioned a few time in the novel, its an amazing place.
I'm in chapter 10 and the things start to gets very intense... so I will continue a little bit more.

Nice first post! I look forward to reading more of them. I like your idea of uploading the photo of the cathedral. I've never been in Barcelona and I'm kind of missing the visual aspect when reading this book.
Yeah welcome to the book club, I am trying to read the book in Russian but it is not going so well. I read like a paragraph but I mean I started late, like three days ago. But good luck on your reading!

I love Carlos Ruiz Zafon books, are they as wonderful in Spanish as they are in English? I love the atmosphere of his books. I hope you enjoy reading.
