It's been raining six days in a row, and we've been hearing some national disaster news here and there. Down town in Nagoya, a part of Chiba, and as well Tokyo were flooded. Fortunately, the Kansai region where I live hasn't been affected by the rain. Even so, I'm worried about my garden. It must be too much water for my plants. When this heavy rain stops, I'll go outside to check on my plants.
I think this crazy rain finally brought fall. The temperature has become lower, and I feel comfortable. In the rice paddies in my neighborhood, the rice ears have finally started dropping. It's one of the signs that fall is just around the corner.
In Japan, we eat seasonal meals, and for example, eating Pacific saury makes us feel that fall has arrived. Tonight I grilled the fish to welcome the season.
I'm looking forward to enjoying fall this year as well. Thinking about my plans for fall makes me so excited!

@yumiyumayume My pleasure! Here, in Berlin, the temperature has finally gone down too. It was one hell of a summer this year, quite literally :D There are already some yellow and brown leaves, although everything is still pretty green. And I've noticed that the squirrels have become very active - I guess they're in full preparation mode, because winter is coming!
@LiubovVasilyeva It sounds like the fall there has already started earlier than Japan. We don't see wild squirrels here, so thank you for sharing. I hope they're enjoying fall as well.
