Hey everybody
Long time no see on this website....
This is my first post about the Multilingual Book Club. I think it's an incredible idea to read such a large book together in this community. As I learn Spanish, I'll read it in the original idiom, but I'll write about it in English.
I'll do that because I can develop two languages at once.
In what language are you reading? Are you going to write in the same language that you're reading?
I would love to know your strategy.

Hi Bruna, I'm reading the book in Italian. I'm also writing about the book in Italian. You can check out my posts, you will probably understand them since my Italian is still very basic ;-)
I'm reading the book in the original Spanish but writing about it in Galego! Have you ever read or listened to Galego before? It's very similar to Portuguese, so I'm sure you could understand it easily. I've written a post here on Journaly about whether Galego is even a language, or whether it's just a variant of Portuguese.
Hi Bruna! I'm reading in Spanish and will be writing in Spanish. I am upper beginner, so this should be quite a challenge that I'm willing to tackle with this awesome collection of people!
Hi, Bruna! Like @TreSpeaks, I'm reading in Spanish & writing about it in Spanish as well. I'd also classify myself as an upper beginner, maybe lower intermediate. For the moment, I need to look up between 8 - 12 words per page. Sometimes I skip looking things up if I'm sure it's a flowery, poetic description of the misty Barcelona sunrise. In any case, I'm sure the community will see us through!
Hi Bruna! I am also reading the book in Spanish because I prefer to read books in their original language. My Spanish isn't at a very high level yet, however, I also have a Brazilian Portuguese version for if I find the Spanish version too hard. I also plan to write in the same language that I am reading because I used to take Spanish in university (only until a low intermediate level) and I enjoyed writing about the excerpts that we would read and study in Spanish. I'm a bit worried because whenever I start getting more exposed to Spanish, the false friends start creeping into my Portuguese. I look forward to reading more of your posts about it in the future!
