Last month, I went to Nara with my husband for lunch. The cherry blossoms had just started blooming.
After lunch, we stopped by a nearby a farmer's market.
I love this market because both plants and vegetables are cheap, and there are various kinds. It's always difficult for me to choose what I should buy.
This time, I bought some strawberries for jam (sauce) and eating fresh, and some spring flowers.
Every year, I look forward to making strawberry sauce, and I'm glad I could make it this year as well. I've already posted the recipe, so if you're curious, please check here.
After making it, I had it with my homemade yogurt and my homemade banana cake.
This year, I've been growing twelve pots of strawberries in my garden, and I'm truly looking forward to harvesting my homegrown strawberries! I can make the strawberry sauce again with them.

Great! Here in Shizuoka I have tried to grow strawberries, but insects (and snails) love to eat them.
Mines some times are eaten by mice or insets as well, so I've been keeping on eye on them! I hope yours will be safer this year as well!
