— There's no way I'm stepping aside. I got here first!
— Okay. You want to be the alpha? Be my guest. I'm not even interested in your position. Actually, I'm leaving. Happy now?
— Yeah, right. Now you're leaving.
— Surprised? I don’t have a choice. Besides, there are other lands I'd like to explore. I just hope my impact on this land is as meaningful as I wanted it to be.
— I really doubt that. You've been a pain in the ass.
— The pot calling the kettle black. That's so like you. Pain in the ass or not, I did my best. Good luck.

C0MMENT: The sentence-level is fine. Since there was no narrative, I could really understand the context here. My guess is that a couple were thinking of splitting up, but the ownership of the land (or house) is being debated.
I understand. There's a little bit more background in "Alpha and Omega I". It's basically a story about two gorillas. One is crazy about becoming the alpha and constantly bullies the troop. The other, sick of witnessing the other's tricks, decides to leave the troop in search of a less toxic environment. Thanks for reading, @T-Newfields
Thanks for the clarification.
