The recent weather has been like a roller coaster, which is like warm one day and cold the next. Even so, all six of my strawberry plants survived the winter, and it made me very surprised. I thought they wouldn't make it because we had snowy days.
Last week it became warmer, so my strawberry plants started growing fruit again. I was looking forward to harvesting them.
However, on the following day when I tried to harvest some juicy fruit, someone had already eaten them! I was shocked, but probably they would be starving. It's hard for animals to find food during the winter. I hope the strawberries tasted sweet.
Fortunately, my strawberries started flowering again and will produce more fruit soon again!

I hope the animal that ate your strawberries enjoyed them!
Thank you as always. I hope so too. I guess it's a mouse. Isn't it cute to image a mouse is eating my strawberries? I'd love to paint the image!
Caught in the act! The thief that ate your strawberries:

Every autumn, our garden would be cleaned of redcurrant berries by birds. You had to be quick if you wanted to get some for yourself!
@SEQ77 Thank you for showing this! I looooooove it!
@BalaGi Thank you for reading and commenting. You're right. I didn't expect there was a competition there, lol! Next time, I'll try my best!
@yumiyumayume I'm glad you liked it. If you want, you can paint this mouse, or I can create additional reference images for you.
You live in Kansai region right? Does it usually snow there? I know it snowed in Tokyo, which is rather rare
@SEQ77 Thank you so much for your kindness! I do appreciate a lot!
@via-chan We don't have tons of snow here, but we sometimes have snowy days. Even so we don't need to shovel snow here. When you go to the northern part of Kansai, such as Shiga (my hometown but much closer to Ishikawa), the northern Kyoto, the northern Hyogo, there are some places for ski.
