Eres un artista.” Ella le regaló unos lápices de carbón de calidad profesional. Ella le preguntó: “Te gustaría exponer tes obras de arte en el centro comunitario ?” Yo estaba muy disgustada con el comportamiento de la profesora. Yo estaba decidida a enseñarme arte.

I will start using the inverted question mark. I bought a new phone in 2022 and noticed the Spanish keyboard didn’t have the inverted question mark. I mentioned this to Samsung, but they didn’t respond. The Spanish teacher at the community centre near my home (she’s in her 70s), commented that the younger generation was omitting the inverted question mark. I did a quick Google search. It’s good to know it’s not grammatically correct to omit it ( according to Real Academia Española).
I think its mandatory use-even it's existence!-is rather recent (say 18thC). I detest it and don't use it myself, although in formal texts you're rather bound to use it
