Staying healthy needs lots of effort. Don't you think? We have to take care of our bodies by paying attention to our daily diets, exercising, dealing with stress, and more. We need to take breaks to let our bodies rest as well. Just thinking about those makes us feel really busy.

I've believed that I'm pretty much healthy both mentally and physically. For example, I do exercise regularly, care about what I eat, take a cold shower to boost my immune system every single night even mid winter, fast for 16 hours every single day, and more.

However, my new year started with sickness. I caught the flu from my grandson, but fortunately, we've kept medicines (my husband has imported prescription drugs for us), so I recovered very quick. After that I was bitten by a mosquito, and my thumb became swollen, so I had to see a doctor. I wrote about it here. Then, my husband, our daughter, and her family, and I went to Nara to have yakuzen cuisine (medicinal dish).

Each dish was made from healthy ingredients, and it made us feel we became much healthier.

However, my daughter had a cold, and I was eating right in front of her. A couple of days later, I felt my throat started feeling irritated. I figured out I caught a different flu! I took the same medicine, so I have no fever, but I have lost my voice. It sounds very hoarse. I regret that I talked to my friend over two hours yesterday. The entry is here.

While chatting with my friend from Texas this morning, I complained about my bad luck at the beginning of the year. I caught the flu two times and got the mosquito bite. He shared a very positive thought with me. If something bad happened, it means the universe owes you something. I love it, and I'd love to believe the rest of my year will be very happy!
