Hey there! I'm so happy and excited because as of today, I've been studying English for 153 hours. Since January 04, I've been changing my approach to learning English and, actually, my strategy. These days, my system is somewhat more immersive than it was when I started, but that's because I'm using an awesome technique where all the content that I learn is connected. Despite the fact that I'm learning English on my own, I understand that the best way to learn is, firstly, by "learning to learn". My focus right now isn't to memorize a lot of words or try to grasp a lot of grammar structures; actually what I'm doing at the moment is assimilating and digesting all the content that I read, and then extracting all the things that I really need.

I've said before that I'm learning English as an transitory language, because my final goal is learn Czech. Therefore, I'm learning, for instance, a lot of academic vocabulary in order to have better tools to front load my trip to study Czech in the Czech Republic. So, I think that if you focus all your activities, content and techniques, and in the meantime you connect all this things with your specific and general goals, your advance will be great.

In december I will have studied for 1020 hours but if I complete my general goal before that, I just jump straight in Czech to prepare myself to that adventure. I'm really enjoying learn English, it's an awesome tool for meet new people, discover other cultures and more, but I just can't wait to start to learn Czech.

This months will be a little bit hard because I must return to my university clases, but I suppose that I'll be able to make do with the time what I'll have.

A couple hours ago, I read my first post in Journaly and I'm really happy because I feel right now an incredibly and notorious progress, furthermore, I consolidate my confidence writing! When I wrote my first posts, I spent maybe one hour just writing five or six lines, but now I can write a post like this in 15 minutes or maybe in 30 minutes and that's an awesome progress. We can build our skill daily, but isn't until you get back and you see your past when you realize all the progress that you have reached.
