Do you like herbs? I love them and I enjoy using my homegrown herbs in my cooking.
Today I show you how I use them.
The picture below shows my homemade fermented garlic. When you use it on beef or pork before cooking, the meats become softer and lightly salted, and the garlic aroma helps meats odor reduce .
The picture below shows my home-dried herb oregano.
The next ones are fresh rosemary. I've made dried ones as well, but this time I used the fresh ones because their aroma is much better.
I mix the homemade fermented garlic, oregano, rosemary and the pork block together and place them into a Ziplock bag. Then, leave it in a refrigerator to let it marinate for two days.
The next picture below shows my homegrown lettuce.
My homegrown rocket, and I'm a huge fan of it, so I keep planting it all year around.
I also grow two different types of parsley. Do you know that parsley is a biennial? That means it lives for two years!
To cook the pork, I place the pork on a frying pan and brown its both surfaces.
Then, I transfer it to a casserole dish and boast it in the oven.
I wrap it in foil and let it rest for a while to keep it juicy.
Once you slice it, it's ready to serve.
Looks so yummy!!!
Buon Appetito!

Man, is that delicious...π€€π€€π€€
I wish you would live much closer to me! I would definitely invite you, and we would have my homemade lunch, dinner and sweets together! I won't talk anything and eat super quietly, lol.
Pork is always overcooked in the US. Yours looks so succulent and delicious!
Yumi, I'm already on my way! I'll be landing in Kyoto in a couple of hours. Looking forward to meeting you!
Just kidding! I'm not flying to Japan π€£.
On a more serious note, I'd love to come over for dinner if I'm ever in Japan π.
@CocoPop Thank you for reading, correcting and commenting. I think you just passed Thanksgiving. How was that? My Texan friend shared the image of Texan smoked brisket and it looked so delicious! It's not made from pork, though.
@Simone- You're always welcome! It's better for you to land in Kansai International airport. I live in Osaka not Kyoto.
Well, I'll be damned! Sorry, Uly! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. As they say, better late than never, right?
Yumi, I'll make sure to inform the pilots about the change in course π.
@Simo Thank you! It was just my sister, my brother and me, but we had a wonderful time.
@yumiyumayume Brisket is always beef π
@Simone- Okay! I'm waiting for you.
@CocoPop I'd love to give it a try when I go back to the States.
