If you've experienced marriage, you understand it's not always easy and simple. Living together means most couples will face many challenges. Married life isn't always happy. They need lots of patience to keep the relationship.
Today I'd like to share a video clip of the world's longest-married couple.
Here is the video. They got married in 1942, and they recently celebrated their 83rd wedding anniversary. It's officially the longest record. They decided to get married because World War II . Now the wife is 107 years old and her husband is 108.
I was amazed by the wife's sharp mind. She remembers lots of things.
In the video, the interviewer asks her, "What would you say that if you were asked for advice on why you've stayed married so long and why you've been happy getting married so long, what would that advice be?" and she replies" I don't know. Many people have asked me many times. I only love him and so does he." What's a great answer! She also mentions they have three children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all of them are very close. When the interviewer asks the same question to the husband, he answers the same. He loves his wife and that's it.
I love my husband and I know he loves me too, but we've argued a lot. I sometimes say mean things to him and vice versa. Probably, that's the marriage and the longest couple also went through many of the struggles we all do. Still, I believe that sharing our lives with someone we love, trust, and important makes our lives happy and meaningful.

I have never been married but I do think marriage and any kind of relationship need a lot of patience and empathy. Love makes miracles.
Commitment helps too. For my wife and I, we've agreed that if we have problems, we'll pray together and ask Jesus for help. We know he wants us to remain true to our promises.

@MusiqueGraeme Thank you as always correcting and thank you for the comment as well. I never thought the way because including me majority Japanese are atheists, but I think you're right. Many Americans are theists. I guess the couple believe what you wrote. Thank you for sharing.
