Last month, I went to Nara with two of my friends, and we had lunch at my favorite yakuzen (Chinese medicinal cuisine) restaurant.
I've been visiting this restaurant every month with my husband or other friends, but it was their first time. I'm glad they enjoyed the lunch. We'll probably have lunch again with two more mutual friends sometime soon.
After lunch, we stopped by another one of my favorite shops, which sells Polish pottery.
I bought two small bowls for my husband and me, and we've been using them for having yogurt since then.
Then, we enjoyed walking around a shopping arcade.
Since one of my friends wanted to stop by this shop shown in the photo below, we went in.
Surprisingly, there were so many tabi-style shoes. Tabi are Japanese traditional toe-split socks worn with kimonos. It was my first time seeing shoes in that style. My friend bought a few pairs of tabi socks. According to her, they help strengthen the muscles in the soles of your feet and improve posture and balance. I'm not interested in wearing white tabi, but wearing those colorful ones must be fun!

Wow! I need to get a pair of these socks. They look so cool!
By the way, those dishes look so aesthetic.
