Lately, I've been musing about an old comic I came across in my childhood. For some reason, it keeps haunting me, perhaps because now I notice it had a Lynchian touch avant la lettre (the comic I'm referring to was published in the mid-'60s). The title was something like "The Flickering / Blinking Lights Mistery" (in Spanish: "El misterio de las lámparas intermitentes", or "...de las luces intermitentes"), and the story is a blank for me now—I only think I remember the setting was an empty office at night. Not that such eerie stories were a total novelty by then (I regularly watched The Twilight Zone on TV), but I think in those days comics showed some reluctance in dealing with uncanny stuff.
So, I finally set to work and asked ChatGPT to look for the issue in question, but the task seems to be far harder than I thought. After all the back and forth trying to refine the quest, I have to say I'm (we're) still in the dark about this issue... It seems there's hardly any index of comic stories from the period available to peruse. However, in the meanwhile I learnt you can find many of these old comic-books online, original English version. Well, something is better than nothing, and I don't give up hope of this freaking story showing up sooner or later.
Wow, excellent English for the most part!
