(If anyone gets the reference I'll give them a cookie 🍪)
So... it's been a while.
I remember making a account here around 2021 to practice my Korean, because that's the language I was learning at that time. I only wrote one post because I didn't speak Korean well enough to feel comfortable with my writing (I had to look stuff up and use Papago all the time). At this point I kind of abandoned the language because I wasn't motivated enough and collegue really takes a lot of my time, so I can't be as invested in language learning as I was before. This doesn't mean I'm never going to come back to Korean, it's just in standby.
However, the grind never stops! /j I decided to start learning Italian this year because some of my immediate family members speak the language. For now it's been a lot more pleasant than learning Korean because of the similarities it shares with languages I already speak. If a word doesn't have an equivalent in Spanish, it has one in Galician 80% of the time. I've already hit 289 hours and I'm exited to do more! I'll probably start writing some little texts in Italian when I hit the 300 hour mark. I'll also write some "academic" stuff in English because, even though I have a B2/C1 level, I haven't really written a lot in the language since graduating high school. Sometimes I feel like I understand a lot more than I can speak. I know this is normal even in your native language, but I'd like to mantain the hability to express myself in English as authentically as I can.
So... yeah, you'll probably see me around here.
Amazing English 👍🏼🤩 Please keep writing ✍️
BTW I got the reference, Elvis, but I won’t spoil it for learners 😉 BUT it needs to be in title case and you don’t need again: I’m Back in the Building!
It's not an Elvis reference 😉
So it's not E.H.L.T.B.?
Thanks @CocoPop and @schmamie for the corrections! And yeah, it's not an Elvis reference.
Then I guess no cookie for me 🥲
