English
I was firmly holding a boat stair while someone was trying to forcefully make me let go of it. What's the verb for that action?
I don't know how I can explain it better.
they pull your hand away?
They push your hand away?
Another verb I'm looking for is when you touch the forehead of someone to check their temperature, for example. And when that person moves their head away so you don't touch away, is there another way to describe it?
And what's it called when you touch the head of someone as a sign of kindness? Tap on the head?
When you make a sound when sipping a drink? Egyptians make a sound while sipping hot tea.

They pry your hand away from the railing
The second one is just check someone's temperature by touching their head (we don't have a special word)
The person moving their head is perhaps recoiling from your touch
Usually you pat someone on the head, or pet an animal like a cat. Pet is usually a more stroking motion, and pat is more of a tapping motion
Slurp is a good word for when you make a sound when drinking. It's not considered polite to slurp
Thank you!
It's totally fine to slurp here. :D
