If you’ve ever wondered why your kitchen looks like a crime scene 🗡️ every time you make tomato sauce, blame physics 🧪. Physics allows us to do lots of fun things like sailing , flying or doing a handstand, but it also has its annoying quirks. It's actually the ultimate instigator of some of the most frustrating disasters that happen in the kitchen.
So, why does tomato sauce splatter so much?
It’s viscous, not homogeneous like water, so when it gets hot, the heat spreads unevenly. That means the areas that boil first form steam bubbles beneath the surface. They’re small and innocent, but since they’re also free spirits, they can’t stand being squeezed in like canned sardines. When their internal pressure goes up, they grow, becoming chubby and mean 🤬. That’s when they burst 💥 and turn your kitchen into an abstract art gallery 🎨. But don’t blame them — it’s all physics’ fault. To top it all off, the droplets cool quickly and get stuck everywhere, including on you.👺
Interesting. Gradually emoji are a part of the English language. To younger this might seem natural. Some older readers might use emoji less often.
@T-Newfields I think we'd be amazed by how differently people interpret our messages from how we intend, even when we use emojis. Actually, some people use emojis to be intentionally ambiguous or sarcastic or even bully others without being noticed. Thanks for your comment. I might write about that. 🤔
