Positive Activities

My father and I went for a long walk today. We walked for more than an hour and overcame around 8 kilometres. Our pretty long distance was along the river and I quite enjoyed it. Even though some lasting problems still disturb me and don't let me live my life the way I want it to live. I find a great relief and energy in taking long walks. I also combine our long walks with empowering and positive self-talks. I don't do it the whole walk long, but from time to time while enjoying nature, I take a pause and start encouraging myself through a positive self-talk. Going for long walks and exercise in general stimulate neuroplasticity but in order to use this neuroplasticity in a right way and maximize effect from physical activity, I try to incorporate more positive activities whether while exercising and walking or afterwards. As I have written above, I use positive self-talks while walking and read a compelling and thought-provoking non-fiction book afterwards. I still struggle with my mental health and my life, but such positive activities make me definitely feel better.
