最近曲を英訳にするのにハマっています。難しいのに楽しいです！

Recently I've been getting into translating songs into English. It's hard but it's fun!

昨日はFlamingoという曲について書きました。

Yesterday I wrote about a song called Flamingo.

歌詞が分かるようになりたかったから書き始めながら、すぐ記述で書かれているのに気が付きました！

I wanted to understand the lyrics so I started to write them down, but I soon realised they're written in the description!

ちなみに書いて翻訳しました。いい練習ですね。

I wrote them and translated them anyway. It's good practise.

初めて聴くときには日本語の部分が分からなかったけど今は違います。進むのが気持ちいいですね。

When I first heard this song I didn't understand the Japanese parts but now I do. It feels good to make progress.

こうする前回では歌詞をリズミに収めようにしました。さらに韻にしました。今回はそうしたくないです。この方が超易しいですわｗ。

When I did this last time I tried to make the lyrics fit into the music. Also I made it rhyme. I don't want to do that this time. This way is way easier haha.

でも今回のチャレンジは英語から和訳するんです。自身がないのに頑張ります。

However the challenge this time is translating into Japanese. Even though I'm not confident I'll try.

How many shrimps do you have to eat

いくつのエビを食べたら

before you make your skin turn pink?

皮膚をピンク色にする

Eat too much and you'll get sick

食べ過ぎと病気になるよ

Shrimps are pretty rich.

エビがちょっと濃厚

なんであいつらはピンク？

Why are these things pink?

動物園で思ったピンク

I thought about that in a zoo

食べ物でそうなんだ

Oh I see, it's their food

実は私はたらこが大好き

Really I prefer fish roe

プラス　エビ、カニ食べよう

Also if I eat shrimps and crabs

ピンク色になるの？

Would I turn pink?

人間って勘違いしてるよね

意味不明だけど面白いでしょ

It doesn't make sense but it's kinda interesting

虹色に染まった世界

A world painted in the colours of the rainbow

今日も地球のどこかで

It doesn't matter where the world is today

エビをむしゃむしゃ食べて

Gobbling up shrimps

フラミンゴはピンク色に染まっていくぜone, two, three

Flamingoes turn themselves pink one, two, three

訳注です！

Here are some translator's notes!

最初の２つの行は残りより難しかったです。何故か「いくつ」を使ったことがないから間違ったに違いないです。

The first two lines were harder than anything else. Somehow I've never used "how many" before so I definitely made a mistake.

「色会う」は新しい単語です。いい言葉だと思います。「色」と「スタイル」のニュアンスが英語の歌詞の感じに合わせているからです。

This was a new word. I think it's a good word. The nuance of "colour" and "style" matches the feel of the English lyrics.

歌手は「嘴」の代わりに「尻尾」を歌いそうです。歌詞が書かれていてから、録音ながら歌手は心が変わるのが多いんです。時々歌詞と歌われている言葉が不一致があるわけです。でもここでは間違いだけでしょう。

It seems the singer sings "tail" instead of "beak". Often, after the lyrics are written, during recording, the singer will change their mind. That's the reason lyrics sometimes don't match what is sung. But here it's probably just a mistake.
