This is about an anime I've seen reciently.
This story goes about Yuki, a deaf girl, who is trying to do her life normally. When she was traveling on the train and going to the college, a foreigner tried to talk to her. The American guy (I suppose he was American) didn't notice the girl couldn't hear, so he kept talking. At that time, Itsuomi Nagi interrupted the conversation (well, the American's monologue) and guided the man.
Itsuomi is a polyglote student. He is 22 years old. He likes to travel arround the world everytime he can. (Can I say "he likes to go abroad"?)
As a shojo history, Itsuomi is handsome and many girls like him. Yuki fell in love with him. But this wasn't the only reason. The main reason (in my opinion) was his kind and attention with her. Even he is trying to learn sign language to communicate with Yuki.
The story caught me bacause I really admire people who are able to speak in many languages. Now, when I don't want to study English or I am feeling bored doing my German lessons, I think in Itsuomi. (Yeah, I have a pic of this guy near to me when I study. Seriously)
Also, the way Itsuomi loves Yuki is so pure for me (I just saw the anime, I didn't read the manga so I don't know if they broke or something).
However, the main reason is I didn't imagine the difficulties deaf people have to face on daily life. I'd never wondered what would my life be if I could not listen. Besides, I wondered what would my life be like if people didn't understand me. I want to connect with people arround the world, but now I know I need to conect all people, so I started to learn sign language of my country.
I changed my mindset about the reason I want to learn English and German. I want to connect with other people. See how I am speaking and thinking in another language through understanding the reason of the grammar rules, words and uses of the language.
As you can see, I am not perfect. I thought I have a high level in English, but this was just on books. The perfect grades didn't mean something in real life so I want to practice a lot and use the language.
Soon I want to talk about every character and other series I've seen.
Thanks for reading this c:
I think everyone should learn some sign language. It's useful when you need to talk in a busy room but you don't want to shout, too.
Sign language is a fascinating invention because the meanings of words are not only connected to images but also to movements. It's a brilliant way to train your memory.
I also look up to polyglots. There are many famous language learners who have shown us the way how to learn well. Good luck with your effort!
声の形!I associate those Kanji with that movie! 頑張って! I understood most of your point and the corrections are great.
