Last Monday, I went to Nara Prefecture with a friend. I've been there many times with my husband by car, but it was my first time taking the Kintetsu Railway. My other friend recommended using the railway. It was very convenient and I loved it. I felt like all of a sudden Nara got close to my area where I live. The Kintetsu Railway goes to Nagoya City in Aichi Prefecture as well, so I'd love to take a trip there by train some time soon.
Both my friend and I are big fan of Polish pottery. I've been collecting some pieces, and a mug is one of my favorite collections. Since there is a Polish pottery shop in Nara, so first we went there.
We can buy the pottery online, but I prefer looking at the actual pieces so that I can check their sizes, colors and patterns. So, I'm glad that there is an actual shop in Nara. The shop runs a cafe shop as well. Since we'd already reserved lunch, unfortunately we skipped it.
The shop was filled with lots of pottery, and all looked so charming! I really love its simple, warmth, and hand-painted style. The shop owner was a very friendly person, so we enjoyed chatting with her for a while. She told us that she has some celebrity customers. We wondered who they were, but she didn't tell their names to keep secret. I found a very cute apple-shaped pot for baking apples. Next time, I'd love to buy it. There were some adorable casseroles as well, and I want one too.
I ended up buying a plate and a mug, and my friend bought a small bowl. We'll definitely go back there.
After enjoying shopping, we had lunch at my favorite yakuzen (medical cuisine) restaurant. It was her first time, and she immediately loved the dishes! She told me that all dishes looked fresh and clean. She enjoyed the wide variety of vegetables as well.
Since it was humid and hot that day, we ordered cold noodle with lots of different vegetables.
We were surprised to find out that the restaurant and the pottery shop were very close to each other. I actually come to this area every month for yakuzen cuisine, but I had never noticed the pottery shop before! I'll go to the restaurant again this Friday with my husband, but unfortunately, the pottery shop will be closed that day. The shop opens from Saturday to Monday and Thursdays. So, I should go there on these days.
When I got home, I opened my shopping bag.
The picture below shows my new additions to the collection.
The following day, I used the new plate and the new mug in the morning. Eating my homemade food with them made me feel so happy! I felt like it would become a great day!

The pottery is so colourful and cheerful! Having breakfast off of them would be a great way to start the day.
Exactly! Thank you, @via-chan!
