A couple weeks ago, my husband and I went out to have Yakuzen Cuisine in Nara Prefecture again. We've been going there for a year now! The restaurant never disappoints us and always serves excellent food. We've become huge fans of that place.
I especially enjoyed the wrapping dish. Since it looks not difficult to make it at home, I'd love to give it a try sometime soon. The dish is healthy and good because we can have a wide variety of vegetables.
Even the Chinese tea they serve is a part of Yakuzen.
After enjoying the meal, I found wild strawberries on the ground while chatting and walking with my husband. As a gardener, I couldn't help but stand picking some to take our home.
The following day, I planted them in our yard.
They've started blooming just a few days later. They are wild, so they are much stronger than the cultivated strawberries. They don't choose environments where they can survive. I was impressed by their toughness. I'd love to be like them.
I harvested three strawberries. Compared to the ones we usually grow, they were so tiny but charming. They are tart and perfect for making jam.
I didn't know that they have pink flowers. They looked so adorable that I immediately became a fan of them.

I love strawberry flowers, they're very cute. We can learn a lot from the toughness of plants...
Thank you for the corrections. Me too! I totally agree with your comment!
Wild strawberries are so tasty! It's just unfortunate that they're so small - you need to pick a lot of them. :)
@Shauna Yes, I definitely have to make them grow larger. Then, I'll be able to pick lots of the fruit!
