So and So

I'm so sleepy I can hardly open my eyes, and it's already past noon. I know this because my mother has already tried to wake me up three times so far—and counting. She'll be back soon to make me get up, so there's no point in trying to get back to sleep. Besides, she left the door open so that the light would wake me up. So much for my plans for today! She'll probably come back and say something like, "So, you want me to get you out of bed? Okay, nice or my style?" I always choose "nice," so I can buy myself a little more time, but she always ends up tickling me, pulling my legs and so on anyway. She's big on pranks to keep things light, and so am I, but I swear this time I'm going to get mad.

Oh gosh, she's back. I'll pretend to be asleep so as to buy myself a few more minutes of peace. Even so, I don't think she's going to stop. If that's so, I'll have to get up—but it won't hurt me to do so.
