I was in a Russian prison. What happened? Well it's quite a simple story. I was 30 years old and going through a heavy existential crisis. I hadn't achieved a success, my job was crap, my personal life was a mess, and I was facing serious health problem. How could I solve all my problems in one strike? Yes, that's it! I decide to become a drug dealer! Let's go!

I started growing weed and shrooms. I really got in it. It was a fun time, I was happy with my new daily routine. I researched methods and techniques to improve my harvest, took care of my plants and looked for ways of sell them. The Russia drug trade model is called "Dead drops". This method combines darknet markets, cryptocurrency payments and physical couriers. The vendor never meets the buyer face to face. The vendor recruits physical couriers who open a deposit and receive a batch of drugs. Next, the courier divides the drugs in small doses and hides them somewhere. They take pics of the hiding spot and send them to the vendor. The vendor then adds new listing to their darkmarket account. Buyer pay in bitcoins and receive information about where the drugs are hidden. It's that easy.

I chosed this trade model for my illegal business too. I didn't involve anyone else, it was my one-man project. I worked as the grower, the vendor, the courier - all in one. There weren't many weeds vendors in my town, so my product was in high demand. I managed my business well and quality of my stuff was excellent. I couldn't sell large volume, it was just a small home business more like a hobby. But I have a good time and made enough money to live on. I didn't earn much, but I had the opportunity to spend all my time with new hobby.

So it was illegal. One day, I was arrested. The officers caught me while I was setting up a new hidden spot. After two years of litigation I was spent to a prison. Russia has strict drug laws. I got five and a half years in a high security prison. So it goes.
