It’s been a year since you accepted my request to stay with you. A year since you welcomed me with open arms into your house. I still remember the first time we met, I was lost near your house, in the many routes of chaotic Cairo as usual and you got down from the 11th floor to find me. You hugged me and that was the beginning of our journey to get to know each other.

You trusted me to take care of your cats and house! You introduced me to your friends and took me to nice, elegant places I’d have never imagined going to. In your house, bit by bit, I’m getting to understand myself and gaining confidence in myself, my aptitudes and skills and in return, I'm trying to help you understand me.

Also, I was able to read books in English for the first time in my life.

I’m grateful for you and all the support you gave me, and of course for all the chocolate and sweets you brought for my mother, niece and nephew!
