I'm currently apartment-hunting in Tokyo. My budget is quite small, so I’m exploring the western suburbs of Tokyo. Today, I saw one on the fifth floor of a building with no elevator. I’m used to being on the fourth floor with no elevator and don’t mind the stairs, but I’m unsure how I’ll feel about it in a few years.
However, there was one thing I fell in love with: the view of a cherry tree right outside the window. Although it’s past its peak bloom, it still took my breath away. The tree is quite tall, and from the fifth floor, you’re at the same level as its most vibrant part. I felt like I could talk to it.
The apartment has three bedrooms and is too big for me, so I need to look for something smaller and cheaper. Yet, I couldn’t sleep thinking about that tree and ended up writing this post.
I remember seeing the cherry trees in Washington DC in bloom for the first time and they took my breath away!
Sucks that the apartment was too big. Hope you find something perfect!!
@CocoPop I learned about them from an English textbook when I was in junior high. They must be gorgeous!
@via-chan Thank you! I'm not in a hurry, so I settle down and aim for a perfect one!
あの木の写真を撮りましたの?観たいね。^ー^
@kenny_yu Sorry, I don’t usually take pictures. I’m bad at multitasking—I find it hard to take photos and really experience the moment at the same time. However, my visual memory is pretty sharp, so I can picture that tree in my mind whenever I want.
