Osaka will host the World Expo 2025 in just a couple weeks, and I'm getting more excited! My husband has already bought our tickets. Today, I'd like to introduce the event to you.
The expo will take place from April 13 to October 13 (a total of184 days) in Yumeshima, Osaka. A total of 161 countries from all over the world will attend it, and there will be 84 pavilions. The theme is "Designing Future Society for Our Lives". I’ve heard that a flying car will be on display at the expo. I'm very curious about what it looks like, so, when I get there, I definitely want to check it out.
Although I'm not interested in video games or anime at all, there will be a pavilion featuring Monster Hunter Bridge by CAPCOM or a pavilion about Japanese anime, Gundam. These must be extremely popular, so it's better for us to book before visiting. I’ll likely skip these, though. I'm more interested in health, nature and food, so I plan to visit pavilions that showcase futuristic food, environmental innovations, and advancements in health.
If you are interested in the expo, here's the official link: https://www.expo2025.or.jp/en/?sSTANCENATION_osaka2025
If you can't visit in person, no worries. There's a Virtual Expo called Virtual Mirai City, which is free to explore. Be sure to check it out!

I really want to go to this! It looks so interesting!
A flying car!?! If you see it there, please take a photo and consider sharing it in a post.
@JPNsally It'll be so much fun! I highly recommend it to you!
@via-chan Sure, I will!! I hope I'll see it!
We'll be in Japan during this time and considered going, but we're worried about the crowds.
@Ersatzjello I remember you'll come here in May, right? If so, it's better for you to avoid our "Golden Week". It's crazy crowded.
Yeah, it will be the end of May and the beginning of July. Hopefully it's not too crowded or too hot then.
@Ersatzjello The Golden week is around from the end of April to the early of May. So, you'll be fine. It might be hot for you because You are from Utah.
