Every once a month, my husband and I go to Nara to enjoy Yakuzen cuisine. Since I haven't posted about last month's visit yet, I'd love to share it with you.
Visiting Nara has become one of our favorite outings. We stop by a farmers market, historical places, Temples or museums every time we visit.
I love learning about cooking and baking, so whenever I have dishes at restaurants, I try to learn something new. However, the flavors at this Yakuzen restaurant are so complex that I can’t quite figure out how they’re made. I think that’s part of what makes us love the place so much. I can't make such complex flavors right now, but I hope gradually my tongue gets used to the complicated flavors and I'll be able to learn something from my experiences.
Everything we had was absolutely delicious, and we were very satisfied.
After that, we stopped by a farmer's market and came across some white strawberries. Last year we bought some, but they weren't as sweet as regular strawberries. So, we decided not to get them this time.
The place was selling pink strawberries too. Even though white or pink strawberries may look interesting, our brains don' think they look very tasty. We need certain colors for certain food. I think strawberries need bright red.
Next time I hope I will be able to find some good strawberries for jam. I'm really looking forward to my homemade strawberry jam again this year.

I totally agree with you! I love Nara!
