A while ago, I wrote about my desire to learn biology on my own. I've recently found a course book in English that is considered to be for college students. The course book seems to be really good and interesting. Today I've started working through this course book, and I was thinking about how to do it efficiently. Since I learn biology on my own and there is nobody to examine my knowledge, I've come up with an idea to do it by myself. I'm going to write a short summary of each chapter, relying on the course book. By this, I mean I literally will write down the most important things of the chapter in my notebook. Then I'm going to revise it and write a short summary on my own without relying on the course book. In this way, I will have the opportunity to test my knowledge. I think that is a pretty efficient way to work through this course book. Actually, since I'm going to read the course book and write summaries in English, I will kill two birds with one stone. I'll learn and improve along with biology, my English. It seems to be a perfect combo.
