Do you remember I wrote about growing mushrooms? I'm sure you've forgotten about it, and that's totally fine because even I've completely forgotten about them.
This morning when I peeked into a cardboard box where I'm growing mushrooms, I noticed that a white mushroom was there!!!! It's much bigger than the brown one. When I saw it, I was very excited!
I haven't harvested it yet because I'm hoping that it'll grow even bigger. It's my first time seeing such a large white mushroom. However, unfortunately, it's a single one again. I prefer having a group of mushrooms over a single one. I've already noticed that growing mushrooms is quite a challenge for me.
At this point, this white single mushroom costs me ¥2,500, lol. I definitely can't tell that to my hubby!

That's a good point! Aki-san, lol
@yumiyumayume :The first time I ever saw a mushroom farm was when I was a teenager. At that time, I was working in an agricultural processing company to pay for my studies and what surprised me most was to see mushrooms growing on a base of manure and compost. It was a winery, very typical in the area where I live.
It was surprising to see the whiteness of the mushrooms compared to the blackness of the compost. Also, there were a lot of mosquitoes.
Here in Logroño (La Rioja-Spain) there is a street called La Laurel where there are bars that serve mushrooms as a tapa.

@druida Thank you for sharing your experience. I never thought mushrooms growing on compost. It sounds gross, lol. I'm not sure if I could eat it.
