The following day, Martyn, Lynn and I had an early breakfast and headed to the North Cotswolds, where has been on my bucket list for years. They'd rented a house for me, and we stayed there for three days, driving around the area.
Our first stop was Chipping Campden.
We had afternoon tea there. Since I'm a huge fan of afternoon tea, it was a real treat to share it with Lynn.
Even though the plates on the above photo was a two-person serving of afternoon tea, it was still quite large for me.
British potions weren't as big as American ones, but they still felt large to me, so I couldn't finish everything. During having our lunch, we overheard a conversation in Japanese at the table next to us. I started chatting with them in Japanese, and we exchanged some information. They were from Yamagata Prefecture, driving around from the north to the sough in the area. They asked us for some recommendation spots of sightseeing. Since they weren't good at speaking English, Martyn helped them out in Japanese. They were the only Japanese people I'd met in this whole trip.
Later that day, we saw a sign with a haiku, which was a lovely little reminder of Japan.
After lunch, we enjoyed walking around the small town.
I also learned about more different types of houses such as cottages.
I really liked cottages because they look so cute and cozy. While exploring, I I made up my mind that I'd love to make our house feel like a cottage. I'll even make a cottage sign on a porcelain plate!

@yumiyumayume, I think it's an area that historically has had a lot of textile industry, right?
@druida I only know is that the area was famous for sheep in the Middle Ages.
@Pandas62 Thank you again!
Beautiful!
Thank you, Simo. I was there one month ago, but it feels like it happened long time ago.
