Hi, I live in Brazil and if you live here or have ever been here, you must know how hot it is here. But, don't be scared, I'm from Northeast Brazil (the temperature never gets lower than 24 ºC). Well, I never leave my country and sometimes I wonder if I'll be able to handle low temperatures even if I wear tons of clothes hahaha.
So, back to the main subject, my country is full of culture because people came from all over the world to live here (China, Japan, EUA, Germany, Italy,..). Besides, the food here is among the most flavorful in the world (feijoada, brigadeiro, pão de queijo, bolo de rolo,...) and the music is amazing, but I'm not talking about Anitta and not even funk; I'm talking about MPB, Chorinho, Forró by Luiz Gonzaga e Santanna, o Cantador, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Tom Jobim, Guinga, Djavan... The unknown Brazilian Music that makes everybody get emotional.
Most Brazilian people want to leave here because of the living conditions, we don't have a comfortable financial life because the Brazil minimum salary is not enough to allow a comfy life, so Brazilians find hope in life in another country to earn in dollar or euro and also because salaries are higher.. It's kinda sad.. we live in a beautiful place, so good to live in, but most of us don't have a stable job or are not working or don't earn enough to pay the minimum expenses.. I'll be honest with you, I'm always thinking of leave Brazil.. but let's be positive, right?
I hope you enjoyed this post.
Hi @Nanilu! This writing sounds very natural. Great work! You taught me a lot about Brazilian culture. Learning English will definitely help you leave Brazil if you choose to move, so keep going! :)
Never lower than 24 C sounds great to me. Right now it is -4 C! One of the worst things about winter is the clothes!
You absolutely can leave Brazil and find work in another country. But perhaps you can think about it this way: the reason Brazil is poor is not because of some problem with the people - they’re great. And it’s not because of some lack of resources - Brazil has loads. It’s just that no one has put the people and the resources together in the right way yet. Which means you can! I moved from the UK to China 18 years ago, and I’ve never regretted living in “poorer” country. There are always things you can do to make money and make things better.
Hi @Olivia_07 thank you a lot!! :))
Hey @PhilH I understand that, and you are totally right. But, you know, I'm just a girl who wants to live in another place for a while, learn a lot from there and back to help Brazilians to fight for their rights. I love my country and Brazilian people but sometimes here is really hard to live. For you to have one idea, people here undergraduate after 4 or 5 years and doesn't find a job, so they leave their profession to do something that gives more money
Hahahaha, right now it is 29ºC here @manakin and I'm not in under the sun haha, what do you prefer?
Brazilian music is full of hidden gems. I like Banda Black Rio and Ana Mazzotti.
Coool!!!
