Hi!
This is my first blog here. I'm 45. I live in Russia and Russian is my native language. I started learning English quite early, before I went to school. My dad was an oceanographer. He sailed the seven seas and studied English for work. I was interested enough to start learning with him. After school, I graduated with a degree in Romano-Germanic philology to become a teacher of English and Russian and Russian literature. I taught at school for five years, taught English as a tutor, and in 2015 I started translating books from English into Russian. I've got more than 30 translations in my portfolio. I suppose I'm quite good at it, but I don't think my written English is equally good. I feel I lack practice. I hope this platform will help me to improve.
Aside from English, I'm also learning French and Spanish (A1 level) and Chinese as a complete beginner.
I'd be glad to help anyone who’s learning Russian.
Nice to meet you all!
