While my three-year-old son was taking a nap, he started to talk in his dream, “Noooo, I want that! I want that!!” He sounded very flustered and was almost crying, so I imagined in his dream he was fighting over something with his big sister. I thought he was still sleeping and wanted to soothe him so I said, “Okay okay, I’ll give that to you.” To my surprise, he replied, even still half in his dream, “What are you going to give me!” in a strong tone. It was funny because I felt like how come he doesn’t know what he wants…but anyway, I said, “Whatever you want.” Then he happily fell back to sleep.
